MelnirPrivacy Policy
Melnir is a client application for Xray-family protocols. It operates no servers of its own, does not sell access, and requires no account. You add a configuration or a subscription link from a provider of your choice, and the app connects to that provider's servers.
Data we collect
None. The app collects no personal data, contains no analytics, ads or trackers, and has no user accounts. The developer has no access to your traffic, configurations or links.
What is stored on your device
- Links and server configurations you add — in the app's storage.
- The active tunnel configuration — in the operating system's own store.
- Routing rule sets — files shipped with the app.
- A technical log — on the device, encrypted. It is never sent anywhere on its own; you decide whether to share it with support.
- App preferences.
Network connections the app makes
- To your provider's servers, as specified by the configuration you added. Your traffic goes through them; what the provider does with it is governed by the provider's own policy.
- To the subscription URL, to fetch and refresh the server list. The app identifies itself with a standard client name and sends no device identifiers.
- To the rule-set address, if your link specifies one.
- To the update address — a single request checking whether a newer version exists. Only in builds installed outside the app stores. It carries no identifiers or personal data.
- To an external-address service (api.ipify.org), only while connected, to show you how your address looks from outside. The request goes through the tunnel, so that service sees the provider's server address, not yours.
Tunnel data
Traffic passing through the tunnel flows directly between your device and your provider's servers. The developer does not log, inspect, modify, sell or share it — and has no technical ability to do so, since the app operates no servers of its own.
Log
The app keeps a technical log on the device to diagnose failures. It is stored encrypted, is never transmitted automatically, and can be cleared from within the app.
Children
The app is not intended for persons under 17 and does not collect data from children.
